Kaveri Online Services, Kaveri 2.0 is the new online property registration system crafted by the Karnataka government to enable a faster and more transparent registration process.

Kaveri Online Services was first launched in 2018 by Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy.

Presently it shall cover 256 sub registrar offices, and it was launched in March of 2023 by then Revenue Minister R Ashok. This online system will help the customers by cutting off unwanted and unwarranted delays, bribes, and third party middlemen/ brokers/agents who sometimes involve and cause trouble. Property registrations have been at an all-time high, with a massive housing boom on the way.

Kaveri Online Services is under the reigns of the Department of Stamps and Registration, the Government of Karnataka, and maintained by the C-DAC. The software aims to simplify registration and virtual record keeping of property rights, tenancy, and crops.

The Kaveri 2.0 services are said to complete a registration process in under 10 minutes time.

The three phases of property registration in Kaveri 2.0 are as follows

  • Pre-Registration: During the pre-registration stage, the details of the concerned parties are analyzed, and verified the authenticity of the same. The second step after the verification process is the online payment for an appointment at the sub registrar's office.
  • Registration: In this stage, the buyer has to present the sales deed and provide the biometrics to the authorities for the registration process.
  • Post Registration: In this stage, once the process is complete, the buyer shall get the digitally signed sales deed.
